Equipping Classes begin the week of Oct. 20
What are Equipping Classes?
These short-term classes help participants grow in their faith through book discussions, video studies, and topical lessons. Participants commit to completing assignments and come ready to discuss and learn. Equipping Classes are opportunities to learn from educators about theology, relationship building, Christian living and literature. Some require the purchase of books and materials.
What Equipping Classes are available this fall?
There are several new and ongoing Classes. For examples, we're excited to offer two Monday times for "Real-Life Discipleship" training, beginning October 21. This interactive class is designed to help you develop the heart and vision of disciple-making by learning what a disciple is, how disciples grow, and how to become intentional where God has placed you.
There are also classes just for men, women, senior adults, and more. Check out all the options and sign up by at our "Find a Class" page.
Community Groups resume or start the week of Oct. 20
What are Community Groups?
Community Groups are the primary vehicle for Group Life at Valley. Participants form long-term connections, support others, and study the Bible in a tight-knit group. Community Groups are casual gatherings that take place either at the church or in a home.
How do I find the right Community Group?
Go to our "Find a Group" page and filter by Community Groups. You'll see lots of options for groups, identified by their facilitator. You can search for a group in a town or at a time that's already convenient for you. When you select a group, click the "JOIN" button to send an email to the group's facilitator.
Care Groups continue at regular times
What are Care Groups?
Many Care Groups are communities of people providing support, encouragement, and help for each other during a difficult season of life. Examples are people struggling with addictive habits, the pain of a divorce, mourning the loss of a loved one, or a severe illness. Other Care Groups gather to serve those in need, offer community to people with similar experiences, or pray for those in a challenging season of their lives.
What Care Groups are available this fall?
Celebrate Recovery and Friendship Community (for people with special abilities) are two examples of weekly Care Group gatherings attended by more than 50 people from the church and community! Several other Care Groups meet once or twice each month. Go to the "Find a Group" page and filter by Care Groups to see all the options. New sessions of DivorceCare and GriefShare will be offered in early 2025.
