ABOUT
The Student Ministry team provides church gatherings, small groups, events, serving opportunities, retreats, and more for Middle School and High School students. These activities allow students to connect with one another, play games, and talk about what it’s like to live for Christ.
SPECIAL EVENTS
July 8: Middle School Water War
Cool off with a crazy Water War in the back lot of the church! Bring a friend and wear appropriate clothes that we promise will get totally soaked. There's no cost, but please click the button below to let us know you plan to attend.
When and Where: July 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Valley.

July 8: High School Bonfire
Enjoy a cozy night with friends around a bonfire in the church Courtyard. We'll roast marshmallows and hang out with good friends. Invite one of yours! There's no cost, but please click the button below to let us know you plan to attend.
When and Where: July 8, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the church Courtyard.

Aug. 10-14: Worship Arts Intensive
Students who just completed Grades 5-12, please join us for a fun, engaging Summer Music Intensive! Designed for students of all skill levels, from total beginners to experienced performers, this program is for instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers, actors, and audio/visual tech students. Participants will improve their artistic and collaborative skills in a creative, supportive environment. The intensive runs August 10–14 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Click the button to register.
When and Where: Aug. 10-14 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at Valley Community Baptist Church.
Cost: Regular pricing is $180 per student. The cost is just $150 if you register by July 20!
Mission Trip: Pennsylvania
Join us as we seek to share the good news of Jesus with our actions and our words. Our group will head to West Milton, PA and serve others. Each day we will head to work sites that are vetted in advanced and students will work with experience leaders to help them to paint, build, and clean up properties of those who are in need. Each evening, we’ll gather for worship and a message from scripture. Sign up and take a next step to grow in your faith and learn how God has gifted you! Students are required to pay a deposit, and are encouraged to raise financial and prayer support for the trip. Applications have closed.

Sundays for Students
Sundays from 9-10 a.m.
Grades 5-6 meet in Room 207 at the 9 AM service.
Root56 for Grades 5-6
Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m., September-May
Students engage in fun activities and hear a Bible teaching that is relevant to their everyday lives. Students then break into small groups called Huddles, where they become more acquainted with their peers and leaders as they encourage each other in their faith.

Riot for Grades 7-8
Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m., September-May
At Riot, Students meet for fun activities and a relevant Bible teaching. Then, they break out into small groups, called Huddles, where peers and leaders encourage one another and share about their personal faith journeys.

Synergy for High School
Every other Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m., September-May
At Synergy, students enjoy fellowship, worship, fun, and a relevant Bible teaching.
No sign-up or cost, all students are welcome!
Growth Groups for High School
Every other Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m., September-May
Growth Groups meet on the weeks when Synergy does not meet. Groups are the place where High School students connect, support one another, study the Bible, and pray.

College & Young Adult Bible Study
Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Room 209
Young adults and college students meet to build friendships and learn from the Bible, no RSVP is needed. For more information, please reach out to McKenna Marlow.

Serving Opportunities for Adults

Serving Opportunities for Students
There are three ways for students to serve! 1: High School Student Leadership. This team meets once a month, providing students opportunities to grow as a student leader. 2: Serve at Valley. All students can serve weekly in Valley Worship Arts, Valley Kids, and our Disability Community. 3. Serve our Neighbors. Each month, a group of students heads out to a Local Outreach partner to serve people who need a little help.
