World Outreach Week FAQ

1.  What is "World Outreach Week"?

World Outreach Week is Valley's annual focused time on reaching people around the world and in our neighborhoods with the Good News about Jesus, helping to fulfill the Great Commission. It's a week of learning, celebrating, and praying about how we can each participate in World Outreach, a vital aspect of our church's mission these past 50 years.

2.  What is Our 2026 WOW Theme?

True belonging begins with being genuinely seen—not just noticed—as people deeply loved by God. Jesus modeled this by dignifying those on the margins, and we follow His example when we look beyond ourselves and recognize the worth in every person.

Our missionaries live this out daily around the world. During World Outreach Week, you’ll hear stories from missionaries, global partners, and special guests that teach us how to use everyday opportunities to share Christ. Through the Great Commission, every believer is called to truly see their neighborsboth across the street and around the worldand share the Gospel with compassion, courage, and genuine love.

3.  What Do We Do During WOW?

Primarily, World Outreach Week is a time to personally connect with some of the missionaries and agencies supported by your Outreach giving. As you see on the schedule, there are numerous opportunities to meet and chat with our global workers. WOW is also a great time to connect with others at Valley. Finally, WOW is a time to focus on the hcallenge to "pray, give, and go" as a personal response to helping fulfill the Great Commission..

4.  Who is Our Guest Speaker?

Rafik is the Director of Arab World Media. Rafik grew up in a Christian family in the Middle East. He has degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration, and an MBA in Nonprofit Management. As an adult he became particularly burdened for Muslims in the region who have very limited access to the Gospel. In respnse, Rafik started and sustained five ministries focused on reaching Arab Muslims in the Middle East. In 1992, Rafik joined Middle East Media (MEM), where he met Cindy. After getting married, Rafik and Cindy joined Pioneers International and have been faithfully serving in various positions in the organization. Rafik's passion is seeing churches planted in the Arab world.

5.  What Does Giving to Outreach Accomplish?

When you give to Valley's Outreach Fund (separate from our General Fund), you make a direct impact through our missionaries and global partners. Because you gave in 2025, through all of our partners combined ...

  • 44,238 people made first-time decisions to become followers of Jesus.
  • 1,609 churches were planted.
  • 3,437 believers were baptized.
  • 5.5 million people received humanitarian aid.

And that's just the start! Learn more about how God worked through your giving at our WOW Worship Services and in hte WOW Guide that will be distributed beginning Feb. 21.
