ABOUT
The Student Ministry team provides church gatherings, small groups, events, serving opportunities, retreats, and more for Middle School and High School students. These activities allow students to connect with one another, play games, and talk about what it’s like to live for Christ.

STUDENT MINISTRY
Sundays for Students
Sundays from 9-10 a.m.
Grades 5-6 meet in Room 305A, Grades 7-8 meet in Room 305C, and High Schoolers meet in Café.
Sundays from 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Grades 5-8 meet in Room 305A.
No sign up or cost, all students are welcome!
Root56 for Grades 5-6
Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m.
Students engage in fun activities and hear a Bible teaching that is relevant to their everyday lives. Students then break into small groups called Huddles, where they become more acquainted with their peers and leaders as they encourage each other in their faith.
No sign-up or cost, all students are welcome!
RIOT for Grades 7-8
Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m.
At RIOT, Students meet for fun activities and a relevant Bible teaching. Then, they break out into small groups, called Huddles, where peers and leaders encourage one another and share about their personal faith journeys.

Synergy for High School
Every other Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. Starting Sept. 11
At Synergy, students enjoy fellowship, worship, fun, and a relevant Bible teaching.

Growth Groups for High School
Every other Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. Starting Sept. 18
Growth Groups meet on the weeks when Synergy does not meet. Groups are the place where High School students connect, support one another, study the Bible, and pray.

College & Young Adult Bible Study
Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Room 209
Young adults and college students meet to build friendships and learn from the Bible, no RSVP is needed. For more information, please reach out to Brandon Sanford.

5th/6th Grade Nerf Night
Friday Oct 11, 2024
6-9 p.m.
Cost: $10
What's more fun than Nerf? Not much! This event is open to all 5th and 6th grade students. Come out to Valley for an awesome night of food, friends, laughs, and Nerf!
7th/8th Grade Sports World
Saturday Oct 5, 2024
11-4 p.m.
Cost: $35, includes lunch
Just for 7th and 8th grade students! Join us for a fun-filled day of go-karting, laser tag, and mini golf at R&B Sports World. Drop off and pick up at Valley. We will travel by bus. Pizza and snacks will be provided. Register by October 3.
9th/12th Grade Storrs Adventure Park
Saturday October 12
10-4 p.m.
Cost: $40, includes lunch
Students in high school will be meeting at Valley at 10am and traveling by bus to the Storrs Adventure Park! Pick up at Valley at 4pm. Register by September 27.

Serving Opportunities for Adults
Would you like to join the Student Ministry Team in their effort to disciple middle and high school students? There are many opportunities to serve as a group leader, guest speaker, activity coordinator or event chaperone. Tap the button below to learn more and begin the KidSafe process.
Serving Opportunities for Students
Every student has unique gifts and abilities to impact others for God’s Kingdom. High school students are welcome to join us on Mondays once a month during High School Student Leadership for opportunities to learn to grow as a student leader. All students can serve weekly in worship, kids ministry, and the special needs community by completing the Students Serve Opportunities Form.
