Everyday Generosity

It's amazing to see God's creativity, love, and generosity on full display each and every day. Our church family generously give their time, service, talents, and treasures through so many acts of worship, and we invite you to join us in our movement of everyday generosity! While our offering plates may be unavailable to us for a while, you can still partner with us in worship and ministry by giving online.  There are two easy options:

CLICK HERE to give a one-time gift with your credit card (no log-in required). Be certain to designate whether your regular worship location is Avon or Simsbury, and whether the gift is for the General Fund or for your Faith Promise pledge.

CLICK HERE to log in and give a one-time or recurring gift with your credit card, debit card, or through your bank account.

Also, don't forget to make a Faith Promise Pledge to support our World Outreach efforts over the coming year.

I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ. - Philemon 1:6

Giving as Worship

God doesn’t want something from you; He wants something for you. More than you could ask for or imagine. The stewardship of our finances is a tremendous—and often overlooked—area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim the gospel.

Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. We trust in Him and His provision instead of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.

Whether it be rocking out with our worship teams, donating and transporting food to our partner organizations, serving in children's classes on the weekend, giving online, or dropping your tithe in the offering plate when we reconvene — each and every act of generosity matters and helps change the lives of others. Your gifts are acts of worship that truly bring us all closer to our Creator!

God has called us to live generously. We do this when we respond to God by supporting the needs of the church, community and world—when we serve others and share our time, talents and finances. We do this when we pray for people, show love, and live each day with God's wisdom. We do this by celebrating what God is doing—in our church and in the lives of others—and what God is about to do with our generous gifts. Here are two initiatives we feel called to as a church.

Grace & Mercy Campaign

We’re passionate about reaching people for Christ—and we believe God has called us to move into new communities to do this. But we can't do it without you. That's what the Grace & Mercy initiative is all about. Partnering together to reach Hartford and Litchfield Counties for Christ.

Why We Give

We believe the top competitor for our devotion to Jesus is money (Matthew 6:24). Giving allows us to demonstrate that He is more important to us than material things.

We believe you can’t out-give God, so when you’re trusting Him with your tithes and offerings we know that He will bless the rest (Proverbs 3:9-10 and Malachi 3:10-12).

What is tithing?

A tithe – which just means “tenth” – is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income that is to be given back to the local church. Tithing is a principle that is taught throughout the entire Bible. When we tithe, we are expressing worship in a tangible way by putting God first in our lives.

If you would like to read more about what the Bible has to say about tithing, check out these passages: Leviticus 27:30, Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:6-10, Matthew 6:19-24 and 1 Corinthians 16:1, 2.
