We had a wonderful World Outreach Week! We heard inspirational stories from our missionaries across the globe, experienced wonderful worship as a church family, and celebrated the amazing results from your World Outreach Giving over the past year.
WOW is over, but our church's priority on helping to fulfill the Great Commission continues every day! Here are three next steps that emerge from our simply WOW philosophy: Pray. Give. Go.
Rescuing abandoned kids in the Caribbean. Reaching Muslims with Christ’s love in the Middle East. Restoring hope among the poor around the world and in Connecticut. This is what your World Outreach Giving accomplishes every year. There’s no endowment for World Outreach. No special reserve fund. We support 28 missionaries and 17 agencies with whatever Valley attendees give. It’s that simple – and that vulnerable. Without World Outreach Giving, fewer kids are rescued. Fewer non-believers are reached. Less hope is restored. Our goal is 100 percent Valley participation, so even your small Faith Promise will help reach our goal.

We encourage all church attendees to seriously consider being the hands, feet, and heart of Christ, serving in person to tend to the physical and spiritual needs of others.
In 2021, our primary "Go" action step so far is "Make a Difference" Week, scheduled for July 12-16. You and your family will have opportunities all week to serve in the morning or evening -- as much or as little as you'd like! Every hour will make a difference during MAD Week. Look for more details soon.
All short-term mission trips are suspended because of the COVID-19 global pandemic. We hope to resume these important and life-changing "Go" trips as soon as possible.
If you would like to be contacted when we have more information about resuming Short Term Mission Trips, please fill out the form linked below.
Jesus tells us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” At Valley, we actively reach out to our neighbors in the local community and beyond, even to some of the world’s most remote and impoverished areas.

Jesus charges us with the command to "tend and feed his sheep." We care because He cares. Throughout Scripture, we see Jesus meeting physical and emotional needs, like hunger and disease, in addition to meeting spiritual needs.
Valley offers many opportunities to serve Avon, and the Greater Hartford Area. We partner with schools, relief agencies, prisons, addiction treatment programs, pregnancy centers, and other non-profit groups to assist and provide for those in need. Join us in serving central Connecticut residents who have physical, social, and/or spiritual needs.
