Our Worship Service will be shown on this page, our Facebook page, and our Vimeo page at 10:25 a.m. on Sunday. These links are for use before, during, or after the service, and are specific to this week's sermon in the "What We Believe" series.
LInks to this week's Scripture:
Jesus is Coming Back!
"So keep watch. You do not know on what day your Lord will come.”
(Matthew 24:42 NIRV)
Do we know when Jesus will come back to earth?
(No, it will be a surprise.)
Why is Jesus coming back?
(To take us with Him to Heaven.)
How can I be ready for Jesus coming back?
(Make sure you belong to Him. See prayer in video.)
What else should I do to be ready for Jesus?
(Help others and share His love. Examples: share a picnic, a prayer, crayons; help someone, tell someone about Jesus.)

Our main video lesson from Valley Kids is accompanied by other videos each week. Kids and parents are invited to watch the videos, practice the memory verse, chat about the discussion questions, and pray together. If your child watches Pastor Jay's sermon, consider utilizing our kid-friendly sermon notes sheet. They may also enjoy the other activities provided.
Action Step: This week, take a few minutes to look at the clouds. Instead of just looking for shapes, try to imagine what it will be like to see Jesus coming back.
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. ... So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
(Matthew 24:42,44 NIV)
Craft: Billowing Clouds
Prepare blue Jell-O. You'll need whipping cream, whisk, electric mixer, bowls, and spoons. Pour some whipping cream into a bowl. Let children take turns whisking it. When they grow tired, or when time is running short, finish up with the electric mixer. Beat until light and fluffy. Serve as clouds on the blue Jell-O.

As Valley's people navigate this unique season of life, we believe we all can be a blessing to our neighbors and each other, in the name of Jesus. Our giving allows our ministries to reach out to the sick, hurting, and vulnerable in Connecticut and around the world. Here are other ways we can all help shine a light on the world during a dark time ...
You and your friends can participate in this drive safely by making a few extra purchases on your next grocery store trip, and then making a quick, safe stop in the Valley Avon parking lot.
Valley attendees have already contributed more than 4,500 pounds of food and goods! This drive benefits Gifts of Love, the Simsbury Food Pantry, and area hospitals. We're collecting groceries, sundries, and personal protective equipment.
Note: Please do not donate clothes or shoes.
Bring your products to the Valley Avon parking lot between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays. You'll see a Valley trailer in the visitor parking lot area with a Donation Drop-off sign. Just put your bags in the trailer, and we'll get them safely to their proper home.
We're encouraging the community to join us in this effort. We thank you for your generosity!
